These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and One Line Littles, part of the One Line Life brand and a product of Tumbleweed Software ("One Line Littles", "we", "us") — the operator of onelinelittles.com and of the One Line Littles text-messaging (SMS) program.
By accessing or using One Line Littles ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
One Line Littles is a personal journaling application that allows users to create one text entry per day, limited to 280 characters. The Service includes free and premium subscription tiers, and an optional print-on-demand book feature.
You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
You retain ownership of all content you create on One Line Littles. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not sell, share, or use your journal entries for advertising or any purpose other than delivering the Service.
Your journal entries are private by default and encrypted at rest. Our admin tools cannot display entry content — support personnel can access account data and activity metadata (entry counts, dates) when necessary for customer support, but not what you wrote. Entry content is processed only by automated systems that deliver Service features (book and poster rendering, search, email digests, and the optional public blog). All admin access is logged.
You agree not to use the Service to publish content that is illegal, defamatory, or violates the rights of others through the public blog feature.
Premium subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period. All payments are non-refundable. When you cancel, you retain access through the end of your paid period, but no partial or full refunds are issued for any reason.
Book Orders: Book orders, whether one-time purchases or recurring subscriptions, are fulfilled by a third-party print-on-demand provider (Lulu). All book orders are final and non-refundable once printing has begun. For book subscriptions, your saved payment method is charged when each book is generated according to your chosen cadence (monthly, quarterly, or yearly). You may pause or cancel your book subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect before the next scheduled book. No refunds are issued for books already printed or in production.
Minimum Book Date Range: One-time book orders must cover a date range of at least 28 days (about one month). This minimum keeps books meaningful keepsakes and allows them to clear our printer's physical-page minimum. Shorter ranges cannot be ordered.
Automatic Page Padding: Our print partner requires a minimum of 32 pages for softcover and 24 pages for hardcover books. If your entries do not naturally produce enough content pages to meet this minimum, blank pages will be appended at the end of your book so the order can be printed. You are charged at the stated book price regardless of whether pages are filled with entries or left blank; there is no discount for shorter content.
Your data is governed by our Privacy Policy. We use industry-standard encryption and security practices to protect your content, and journal entry text is additionally encrypted at rest.
Linking a phone number is optional and enables the text-in feature, where you can text your daily line to the Service and receive alerts you turn on (such as writing reminders), plus occasional feature updates about One Line Littles. By linking a number, you consent to receive these text messages. We never send third-party advertising by text.
We use your phone number only for these messages — never for any other purpose. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from every category of information we share; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
You may opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP to any message or by unlinking your phone in your profile settings; opting out does not affect the rest of your account. Reply HELP for help. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. See our SMS program details.
You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms. Upon deletion, your data is permanently removed in accordance with our data retention policy.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any loss of data, interruption of service, or damages arising from the use of the Service, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
