These are the terms of the SMS program operated by One Line Littles, part of the One Line Life brand and a product of Tumbleweed Software ("One Line Littles", "we", "us") — the operator of onelinelittles.com. One Line Littles is a one-line-a-day journal. If you'd rather write without opening the app, you can link a mobile number and simply text your line — we save it to that day's entry.
Consent is given directly to One Line Littles. We are the sole sender of these messages. We do not collect phone numbers or SMS consent on behalf of any third party or affiliate, we do not engage in affiliate marketing or lead generation, and we do not buy or sell phone numbers or opt-in data.
We never send third-party advertising. Every message is about One Line Littles: a reply to a line you texted in, a reminder you turned on yourself, or an occasional feature update. Reply STOP once and all of it ends.
Opt-in happens inside your own One Line Littles account, so we can tie the number to your journal and confirm the phone belongs to you. It is a two-step (double) opt-in:
You'll then receive a confirmation text (with a tap-to-save contact card attached): "One Line Littles: You're opted in — your number is linked. Text your daily line anytime and we'll save it to your journal. Tap the attached card to save us as a contact. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out." (Members on the free plan receive a variant confirming that daily reminder texts are on.)
The phone-number field only exists inside a signed-in account, in two places. Both collect express consent with an unchecked checkbox before the number is accepted; the illustrations below show the exact UI.
Link Your Number
Get your daily reminder as a text. Link your mobile number and we'll text you a code to confirm it's yours.
After tapping Text me a code, a 6-digit code arrives by text; entering it in the app completes the double opt-in.
Would you like to link your phone?
Get a daily writing prompt by text — and reply to it later with your line once you're set up. Totally optional.
This offer appears once, after the account's email address is verified. Skipping it changes nothing — the number can always be linked later from the profile. The same texted 6-digit code confirms ownership.
Message frequency varies and is driven almost entirely by you. Confirmation replies are sent only in response to a line you text in. Reminders are sent at most once per day, only if you turn them on, and only on days you haven't already written. Feature-update texts are rare — a few per year at most.
Message and data rates may apply. One Line Littles does not charge for text messages; your mobile carrier's standard rates apply.
Reply STOP to any message to stop all texts immediately. You can also unlink your phone at any time in Profile → Write-in. Opting out of SMS does not affect the rest of your account — your journal and email reminders continue to work normally. Reply START to resubscribe.
Reply HELP to any message, or contact us. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We use your phone number only for the messages described above. We do not sell your mobile phone number, and mobile information (your number and SMS consent) is never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. It is shared only with our messaging provider strictly to deliver the messages you requested. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from every category of information we share; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
